Eating out need not be a chore at all.

If you are just starting the diet,

I recommend:

1) keeping your list with you at all times - both the good and the bad foods.

2)   Try to stay away from Chinese Buffets.

3)   Eat well to avoid having room for dessert.

4)   Enjoy the bread. (I haven't had any problem with breads).

5)   Avoid battered foods as most batters contain egg yolks but dig into the grilled foods that are on the diet!

6)   I eat french fries all the time with no problem.

7)   Mexican food is fine but make sure you specify no beans and go easy
        on the picante sauce and pico de gallo because of the tomato seeds.

8)   I eat all salads but without bacon, egg or tomato and I am careful with
        with dressings.  I usually go for the plain oil and vinegar or the  Italian          and sometimes Blue Cheese but use it sparingly.

9)   I use ketchup very sparingly and I don't eat mayonnaise. I love
        hamburgers with mustard.  Mustard is ok!

10)  I drink small amounts of iced tea and order juices which I use water to          dilute.

11)  I drink decaf coffee but mostly I drink water.

12)   I avoid drinks with Aspartame because these ensure you dependence on             sugar.  Also, very dry red wine is an option but not too much.
