"Scratching or pulling hair, especially large chunks, will at best open a crack in
the sebum/serum protective layer, through which yeast may develop from earlier apathogenic
stages inside follicles and pores, where they were just waiting for some oxygen to help
them "burn the fat out" (oxygen from air + hydrogen from humidity + carbon from
fat + assorted other generous stuff from the epidermis).
Now, the kind of fat and sugar one ingests and transforms in the body
(burning, expelling, accumulating, sweating etc.) is important, as fats and
sugars are not all alike, especially in the way they associate with other
elements and oxidize (become rancid or fermented), which may be critical for yeast living
on epidermis (and they don't seem to like minor chains of carbons as in Omega 3 or middle
chain triglycerides). My point here is that you can have some oily skin that just doesn't
please yeast at all, and that's where the JK diet is important.
Since we are talking about it, if the JK diet or other anti yeast diets are
followed as strictly as possible, it's likely that there won't be yeast enough in the
organism of the person for significant yeast outgrowths even when that person causes some
acid (chemical) or traumatic (sticky fingers) damages to the superficial skin.
The excessive oil can be removed in pH balances unfavorable for yeast
outgrowth, and as they develop pathogenically in mildly acidic medium under 37ºC, the
farther away from these conditions the person cleans the skin, the better.
Take care, the best possible
